CERAMIC FACILITIES

Since the ceramic industry includes various process steps, it generates a high rate of waste water and waste materials. These wastewaters originate from raw material preparation, machine washing and molding and may contain organic or inorganic impurities. Materials such as boron, lead, aluminum, iron, cadmium, manganese and zinc used in surface treatment may contain metals and ions.

Methods such as pretreatment, chemical coagulation, neutralization, flocculation, chemical precipitation, filters, sedimentation ponds, membrane or osmosis devices can be used to treat these wastewaters. An additional process is required to remove metal residues from purified water.
