Scope is written item by item in every quotation and fixed by contract; items can move between "included" and "optional" depending on the project. ## What to send for an EQUIPMENT quotation (per category) - Screens: channel width/depth and water level (or design flow), average and peak flow, required bar spacing or the equipment to be protected, wastewater character, where the screenings go, retrofit or new plant. - Grit & grease removal: flows, existing concrete basin dimensions, grit load, grease expectation, whether grit washing/classifying is wanted, odour requirement. - Conveyors: material (screenings / grit / dewatered sludge), capacity t/h or m³/h, horizontal distance and lift height (hence the inclination), discharge height above container, dry solids and stickiness. - Filter press / dewatering: sludge m³/day and kg DS/day, feed dry solids %, sludge type (biological, chemical, mixed), target cake dryness, hours of operation per day, polymer used, sludge analysis. - Clarifiers: flows, position in the chain (primary/secondary/chemical/thickening), inlet TSS and SVI, target outlet TSS, existing basin diameter/depth/floor slope, area constraint (lamella or not). - Mixers: tank volume and liquid depth, purpose (flash mixing / flocculation / equalisation / sludge), density and viscosity, baffles present or to be manufactured, mounting method, speed control needed. - Dosing: chemical trade name and concentration, treated flow and target dose mg/L, line pressure at the injection point, control mode (fixed / flow-proportional / analyser feedback), days of storage. - Membranes (UF/NF/RO): FULL WATER ANALYSIS is a precondition — TDS/conductivity, cation-anion balance, hardness, silica, iron-manganese, SDI or turbidity, temperature, pH; plus permeate flow and target quality, source water, existing pre-treatment, concentrate destination. - Media filters: flow m³/h, inlet TSS/turbidity/COD/colour/iron-manganese, target quality and purpose (polishing, pre-RO, process water), available pressure, backwash water destination, automation level. - Tanks: volume and geometry, contents (chemical trade name and concentration), operating temperature and liquid density, open or closed, nozzle sizes and elevations, whether the tank fits through site access openings (this decides sectional fabrication). - Penstocks & flow control: channel/opening size W×H, mounting type (embedded frame or wall face), water head and the direction the pressure comes from, manual or actuated, fluid, leakage class. - Automation: list of driven equipment with ratings (kW), parameters to be measured, process flow diagram, automation level wanted (panel only / PLC / SCADA + reporting), remote monitoring, existing panel and PLC brand, supply voltage, reporting obligations. ## Gas treatment / odour control (scrubbers) — a GESU specialisation GESU designs, manufactures in its own factory, erects and commissions gas washing units. Two families: - CHEMICAL WET SCRUBBER — packed tower, venturi or jet venturi, single or multi-stage, with automatic pH/ORP controlled dosing. Duty: HCl (NaOH wash), NH₃ (H₂SO₄ wash), H₂S (NaOH or NaOCl), SO₂ (alkaline), HF (NaOH or Ca(OH)₂), Cl₂ (NaOH + NaHSO₃), chromic acid mist / Cr(VI) from hard chrome plating (alkaline wash + mist eliminator), cyanide vapours (segregated alkaline line). - BIOLOGICAL SCRUBBER / BIOFILTER — organic odour (H₂S at low concentration, mercaptans, amines) removed by microorganisms; almost no chemical consumption, markedly lower operating cost, but slower to respond to load swings and needs time to re-establish after a long shutdown. - ACTIVATED CARBON is used as a POLISHING stage after a wet or biological stage, not on its own at high load. - VENTURI is chosen when the gas carries dust or aerosol that would blind a packed bed. Published capability: 500–100,000 m³/h · 95–99%+ removal on acid and alkaline gases · bodies in PP, PVC, GRP or AISI 316L · PP Raschig/Pall rings or structured packing · PLC with pH/ORP control. Warranty: 2 years mechanical, 5 years body, 3 years packing. OUT OF SCOPE — CONFIRMED BY THE COMPANY OWNER (July 2026): GESU has NEVER delivered a NOx abatement system and does not manufacture wet electrostatic precipitators (WESP). These are not omissions in the text — they are stated boundaries, published on the scrubber pages under "what we do not do". If a user asks whether GESU can remove NOx, the correct answer is no, GESU does not do this and has no reference in it; nitric oxide is only slightly soluble in water and needs pre-oxidation or SCR/SNCR, a different technology family. Do not soften this into "contact them to find out". Key point buyers miss: a scrubber only cleans the air that reaches it. Covering the basins/tanks and sizing the hoods and ductwork is part of the design, and whose scope it is must be stated in the quotation. Those tables apply ONLY when treated effluent goes directly to a river, lake, sea or groundwater. If the plant discharges to a MUNICIPAL SEWER or an ORGANISED INDUSTRIAL ZONE collector, the SKKY sector tables do NOT apply — the binding limits are those of the relevant water and sewerage administration (BUSKİ, İSKİ, ASKİ …) or the OIZ's own connection/discharge regulation, which differ by administration and can be stricter on some parameters.
