Chemical Wastewater Treatment Plant — AXOR Industry, Ukraine
Chemical treatment plant and sludge dewatering system for the wastewater of an alkaline zinc plating line. Contract 2011, site photos December 2012. Our first project in Europe.

Project data
Year and scope come from our reference list. Capacity and effluent values are not given on this page; effluent values depend on the wastewater and are established after analysis.
What is on site
The list below names only the equipment visible in the December 2012 site photos.
PP reaction tanks and mixers
Polypropylene tanks for the chemical treatment steps (pH adjustment, precipitation); a mixer and a dosing pump on top of each tank.
Chemical storage and dosing
PP storage tanks with diaphragm-pump dosing stations in front; PP pipework feeding the reaction tanks.
Sludge dewatering
Plate filter press, with a pressure-filter group next to it.
Steel service platform
Two-level steel platform and stairs giving access to the tank tops and the dosing deck; control panels at floor level.

Why this project matters
Our first project in Europe. In our company history 2012 is the year we reached three continents: AXOR in Ukraine, Akşeker in Ethiopia. It is on the timeline of our company profile.
Chemical treatment of plating wastewater. In alkaline zinc plating lines the wastewater comes from plating and rinse baths; the heavy-metal and pH load is removed by chemical treatment — pH adjustment, precipitation, separation — and the sludge is dewatered in a filter press. We describe the same chain on the chemical treatment page; in metal finishing it is still the system we build most often.
Equipment made in-house. The PP tanks, dosing units and steel platform in the photos were manufactured in our Bursa factory and installed on site — see our factory and sludge dewatering.
