Our Method

Five Stages, Every Project

The same discipline runs from your first question to the end of the plant's life: we listen, we build the right solution, we draw it, we quote it transparently, and we stay with you.

1

We Listen & Understand

We start with your need, your budget and your constraints — not with a catalogue. Questions specific to your industry and your type of requirement let us draw the real frame of the project together, before any equipment is proposed.

  • Requirement and target clarified
  • Budget and site constraints heard
  • A roadmap built for your case
2

We Build the Right Solution

The GESU difference

Jar tests, laboratory analysis and — where the process requires it — pilot studies come first. The design is then built on our source-controlled engineering library and on process know-how specific to your sector. Every calculation is verified against a mass balance; no value that is not supported by the engineering literature enters a quotation.

  • Jar test, lab analysis, pilot study
  • Sector-specific process design
  • Every figure checked by mass balance

3

Equipment & Drawings

Alternative equipment selections — premium and economical options side by side — together with P&ID and process flow diagrams make the project concrete. Most of the equipment is built in our own factory: you talk to the manufacturer, not to a middleman. Our 3D workflow runs on SolidWorks, and our investment to move to plant-scale BIM (Revit) has begun — the goal is to hand over projects as clash-checked, data-rich BIM models.

  • Premium ↔ economical alternatives
  • P&ID and process flow diagram
  • Manufactured in our own factory

4

A Transparent Quotation

The quotation is itemised line by line and presented together with a ten-year total cost of ownership view, so you see not only today's investment but what the plant will cost you to run. The method is open; there are no surprises later. Scope boundaries — what is included and what is not — are written into the same document.

  • Itemised, line-by-line scope
  • Ten-year operating cost (TCO) view
  • Transparent method, no surprises
5

We Stay With You

A signed order is a beginning, not an end: manufacturing → erection → commissioning → operation. After start-up the same team stays reachable, with the same discipline — operator training, periodic maintenance agreements and spare parts from the factory that built your equipment.

  • Manufacturing → erection → operation
  • Commissioning and operator support
  • Partnership for the life of the plant

Turnkey (EPC)

What a Turnkey Scope Includes

Engineering, procurement and construction under one contract. Throughout the project there is one counterpart: GESU.

E

Engineering

Feasibility, jar tests and pilot work, process design and mass balance, 3D layout, detailed engineering, P&ID, electrical and automation design.

P

Procurement

Treatment equipment manufactured in our own Bursa factory; bought-in items, packing, transport and logistics coordinated by GESU.

C

Construction

Site erection, piping, electrical installation, automation integration, commissioning, performance testing (SAT) and operator training.

Typically included

  • Wastewater characterisation, jar tests and laboratory analysis
  • Process design, mass balance and equipment sizing
  • 3D layout, detailed engineering, P&ID and flow diagrams
  • Manufacturing of tanks and equipment in stainless steel, carbon steel (St37) and PP
  • PLC/SCADA software developed in-house; control panels with our specialist partners
  • Packing, transport and logistics coordination to site
  • Mechanical erection, process piping and electrical installation
  • Commissioning, performance verification (SAT) and operator training
  • Documentation set and warranty (2 years mechanical / 5 years stainless bodies)

Defined case by case in the contract

  • Civil works and concrete structures — GESU can take them into scope or work on the client's structures; on the Turkmenistan municipal plant the process and equipment were GESU's while the concrete works were built separately
  • Utility connections: incoming power, water, drainage and access roads
  • Local permits, environmental approvals and any local content requirements
  • Customs clearance, import duties and destination-country formalities
  • Local labour, cranes and site facilities for the erection crew
  • Chemicals and consumables for operation after handover
  • Delivery terms, payment terms and documentation language

We would rather write the boundary into the contract than discover it on site. Ask for anything on this list to be quoted and we will price it as a separate line.

Execution

Project Stages & Timeline

Six steps from first contact to handover.

01

Survey & Analysis

Site visit or remote data review, sampling, assessment of the existing situation, and confirmation of the discharge or reuse limits that apply to you.

02

Feasibility & Quotation

Process selection, jar tests, 3D layout and the technical plus commercial proposal. The preliminary feasibility study is free of charge.

03

Detailed Engineering

Tank sizing, equipment selection, P&ID, electrical drawings and automation software — the package your own engineers and authorities review.

04

Manufacturing & Procurement

Production in our own 5,000 m² facility (2,000 m² enclosed) with robotic welding, CNC plasma and laser cutting, press brake and a 4 m PP/HDPE butt-welding line; quality control and shipment planning.

05

Erection & Installation

Mechanical erection, process piping, electrical connections and automation integration — carried out by our own team travelling from Bursa.

06

Commissioning & Handover

System tests, performance verification (SAT), operator training and the start of the warranty period.

How long does it take?

Because we manufacture in our own factory rather than waiting on outside suppliers, a typical industrial plant is delivered in about three to five months from order. Municipal-scale plants, projects with substantial civil works and plants that need pilot studies before the process is fixed take longer. The binding programme is agreed per project and written into the contract — we prefer a date we can hold to a date that sells.

  • First response to an enquiry: within 24 hours
  • Technical evaluation: within 48 hours
  • Preliminary feasibility study: free of charge
  • Detailed programme: agreed per project

After Handover

Warranty, Support & Spare Parts

Warranty

2 years on mechanical equipment, 5 years on stainless steel bodies. The period starts at handover, after commissioning and performance testing. Wear parts, consumables and damage from operation outside the design conditions are excluded and listed in the contract.

Technical Support

Support during working hours is included for every customer. Customers with an O&M or service level agreement also have a 24/7 emergency line. Periodic maintenance agreements are available with the visit frequency and response times agreed per project.

Spare Parts, Also Abroad

We built your equipment, so we can rebuild any part of it: screens, scrapers, DAF internals, dosing units, tank components. GESU-made parts ship from our own factory; bought-in components are standard industrial brands available worldwide. Delivery terms are agreed per project.

O&M and operator training

A plant is only as good as the people running it. On-site operator training is part of the commissioning stage of every turnkey project: the process logic, daily checks, chemical dosing, sludge handling, alarms and what to do when the influent changes.

  • Operator training at commissioning — included in turnkey scope
  • Periodic maintenance agreements after handover
  • O&M / service level agreements, including the 24/7 emergency line
  • Process troubleshooting for plants that are not performing — including plants we did not build

Documentation we hand over

The document set travels with the plant, so your engineers, your maintenance team and your authority all have what they need.

  • Process flow diagrams and P&ID
  • General arrangement and 3D layout drawings
  • Equipment datasheets and manufacturing drawings
  • Electrical and automation documentation (PLC/SCADA)
  • Operation and maintenance manuals
  • Commissioning and performance test (SAT) records

Delivery language is agreed in the contract — tell us in your enquiry which language your operators and your local authority require.

Beyond Türkiye

Yes, We Install Abroad —
and We Say How

GESU engineering and GESU-manufactured equipment have been delivered to 17 countries, among them Ukraine, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Algeria and the Philippines.

We are deliberately clear about how that works: we do not operate overseas offices, branches or agencies. There is one GESU location — the factory and head office in Bursa, Türkiye. Every project is engineered, manufactured and coordinated there, and our own erection and commissioning team travels to your site. It means one company remains accountable for the whole plant, wherever it is built, instead of a chain of local intermediaries pointing at each other.

  • Remote start: send analysis data and site photos, we begin without a visit
  • Equipment shipped from Bursa; packing and transport coordinated by GESU
  • Our erection and commissioning crew travels to site
  • Local civil works, permits and customs handled by you or quoted case by case
  • Proven in different climates and regulatory regimes — desert to Central Europe

Getting Started

How to Request a Quotation

One form, six steps. The better the data, the sharper the proposal — but incomplete data is not a reason to wait.

What the form asks for

  1. 1Company details — company, country, contact person and how to reach you
  2. 2Project details — new plant, upgrade of an existing plant, or equipment only
  3. 3Industry — the sector sets the wastewater character and the process line
  4. 4Flow and pollution load — flow rate, COD, BOD, suspended solids, oil and grease, pH, temperature and any sector-specific parameters
  5. 5Current status — existing plant, discharge or reuse target, the limits you must meet
  6. 6Submission — notes, drawings or analysis reports you want to attach

No analysis results yet? Send what you have. We will tell you which parameters are still needed and, where useful, how to sample.

What happens next

  • An engineer — not a call centre — responds within 24 hours
  • Technical evaluation of your data within 48 hours
  • Preliminary feasibility study and preliminary quotation, free of charge
  • Jar tests and, where needed, a pilot study before the process is fixed
  • An itemised proposal with the scope boundary written down

Delivery terms, payment terms, order minimums

We do not publish a fixed list, because scope, destination country and plant size change all three. They are agreed per project — please state the terms you work with in your enquiry and we will confirm them in the quotation.

FAQ

Commercial Questions, Answered

What is included in a GESU turnkey (EPC) scope?

A GESU turnkey scope covers engineering, procurement and construction under one contract: process design and mass-balance calculations, jar tests and laboratory analysis, 3D layout and detailed engineering, P&ID and process flow diagrams, electrical and automation design, manufacturing of the treatment equipment in our own Bursa factory, delivery and logistics coordination, mechanical erection, piping and electrical installation, automation integration, commissioning, performance testing (SAT) and operator training. Civil works, utility connections, local permits and any client-supplied items are defined item by item in the contract, so the split of scope is clear before signature.

What are the project stages and how long does a project take?

Every project runs through six stages: 1) survey and analysis, 2) feasibility and quotation, 3) detailed engineering, 4) manufacturing and procurement, 5) erection and installation, 6) commissioning and handover. Because we manufacture the equipment in our own factory instead of depending on outside suppliers, a typical industrial plant is delivered in about three to five months. Municipal-scale plants and projects with heavy civil works take longer. The binding schedule is agreed per project and written into the contract.

What are your warranty terms?

Two years on mechanical equipment and five years on stainless steel bodies. The warranty period starts at handover, after commissioning and performance testing. Wear parts, consumables and damage caused by operating outside the design conditions are excluded and are listed in the contract.

What after-sales support and spare parts do you provide, including abroad?

Technical support during working hours is included. Customers with an operation and maintenance (O&M) or service level agreement also have a 24/7 emergency line. Because most of the equipment is manufactured in our own factory, spare parts for GESU-built items — screens, scrapers, DAF internals, dosing units and tank components — are produced and shipped directly from Bursa, and bought-in components are standard industrial brands available worldwide. Delivery terms for spare parts abroad are agreed per project.

Do you provide O&M services and operator training?

Yes. On-site operator training is part of the commissioning stage of every turnkey project. Beyond handover we offer periodic maintenance agreements and O&M / service level agreements; the scope, visit frequency and response times are agreed per project.

What documentation do you deliver, and in which language?

The document set includes process flow diagrams and P&ID, general arrangement and 3D layout drawings, equipment datasheets and manufacturing drawings, electrical and automation documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, and commissioning and performance test (SAT) records. The delivery language is agreed in the contract — please state in your enquiry which language your operators and your local authority require.

Do you carry out jar tests and pilot studies before design?

Yes. We profile your wastewater with jar tests, laboratory analysis and, where the process requires it, pilot studies before the process line is fixed. Every calculation is verified against a mass balance, and no value that is not supported by the engineering literature enters a GESU quotation.

How do I request a quotation and what data do you need?

Use the request-a-quote form on this site. Step by step it asks for your company and country, the project type (new plant, upgrade of an existing plant, or equipment only), your industry, the wastewater flow rate and pollution load (COD, BOD, suspended solids, pH, temperature and any sector-specific parameters), your discharge or reuse target, and the current status of any existing plant. An engineer responds within 24 hours and the technical evaluation follows within 48 hours. The preliminary feasibility study and preliminary quotation are free of charge. If you do not have analysis results yet, send what you have and we will tell you which parameters are still needed.

Do you install plants outside Türkiye?

Yes. GESU engineering and GESU-manufactured equipment have been delivered to 17 countries, including Ukraine, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Ethiopia, Algeria and the Philippines. We do not operate overseas offices, branches or agencies: every project is engineered, manufactured and coordinated from our single facility in Bursa, Türkiye, and our own erection and commissioning team travels to site. One company stays accountable for the whole plant, wherever it is built.

What are your Incoterms, payment terms and minimum order quantity?

Incoterms and the payment schedule are agreed per project, because scope, destination country and plant size change them. For export projects we work with an irrevocable letter of credit (L/C) as the preferred payment instrument; other instruments can be discussed. There is no published minimum order quantity — we quote single equipment items as well as complete plants. Please state the delivery and payment terms you work with in your enquiry and we will confirm them in the quotation.
